If you look closely, you’ll see there’s a strong resemblance to Charlie Brown which Jilly noticed during the transfer appointment. For the duration of the transfer, he was referred to at Charlie. But that’s not his real name. Though we did put it on the list. For now, we call our little one Babykins.
We found out today that Babykins settled into my cushy uterus nicely and helped me get an A+ on my pregnancy test! Good baby. Our clinic looks for a beta test score of 50+ at 9 days post 5-day transfer (that’s 9dp5dt in the infertility world). Well I got a 180. Boom.
So today, at 1:45 p.m. on 12/20/12, I got the call and it was confirmed. I have a second test on Saturday to ensure the number is growing appropriately. Now I continue to take estrogen and progesterone, plus my vitamins, and await our first ultrasound on 1/9.
My main goal of this blog is to catalog my pregnancy for the kid to read one day, and also to write things that are somewhat interesting and fun to read. I hope you enjoy being a part of our journey!
